NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans City Councilmembers will join Justin Augustine, Vice President of transdev, RTA Board of Commissioners and community leaders to celebrate Transit Week with a special ride-along event today at 11:30 a.m.
The ride-along event will take place in the 1300 block of Poydras Street (behind City Hall). Immediately following brief remarks from city leaders, media and invited guests will board an RTA bus along with New Orleans City Councilmembers and RTA Leadership to experience transit first-hand. During the entire week, New Orleanians have been encouraged to park their cars and try public transit.
Those also attending the event include RTA Board Chair Salvador Longoria, Councilmember and Transportation Committee Chair Jared Brossett, Councilmember LaToya Cantrell, New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation President and CEO Mark Romig, RTA Board of Commissioners and elected officials and community leaders.
