NOLA Brewing’s Latest Brew ‘Syncopation’ To Be Released For American Craft Beer Week

NEW ORLEANS – NOLA Brewing is releasing its first new beer to the market in two years, just in time for American Craft Beer Week (ACBW) starting on Monday, May 15.

“We have been working on this new recipe for over a year now and we are really excited to release this new IPA into the market,” Kirk Coco, CEO and owner of NOLA Brewing, said. “While we are constantly releasing new beers in the tap room and as lagniappes, this is the first beer in a long time that we will have on rotation throughout the year.”

NOLA Brewing’s new beer is a double dry hopped India pale ale that is a blend of citra, mosaic, grungiest, calypso and ekuanot hops for a fruity and juicy aroma that finishes all hop. Late hop additions lead to more flavor and less IBUs and, coming in at 6 percent ABV, keeps Syncopation very drinkable, NOLA Brewing reps said.

“We decided to release Syncopation during American Craft Beer Week as a celebration of the new things our industry is able to do,” said Coco. “We usually release one-time specialties, but releasing this new beer during ACBW is our way of showing that we are proud to stand behind it amongst all the other one-off specialties popping up that week.”

Syncopation will be available in the market as a semi-annual beer to ensure freshness, NOLA Brewing reps said. The first draft release will be on Monday, May 15, followed by a can release on Thursday, May 18 in the NOLA Brewing Tap Room. Throughout ACBW, Syncopation will be found on tap at Avenue Pub on Monday, May 15, Bayou Beer Garden on Tuesday, May 16, Cooter Brown's on Wednesday, May 17, Barley Oak on Thursday, May 18 and Mid City Yacht Club on Friday, May 19. After ACBW, Syncopation will be available in draft and in cans throughout Louisiana.

NOLA Brewing’s year-round beers NOLA Blonde, NOLA Brown, Hopitoulas, 7th Street Wheat, Rebirth Pale Ale, Irish Channel Stout and Mecha, as well as their summer seasonal, Hurricane Saison, are also available in draft and in cans.
