NOEW SPOTLIGHT – Fund Your Business Without Selling Your Soul

NEW ORLEANS – Tomorrow, Thursday, March 23, as part of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week, Jenny Kassan with Jenny Kassan Consulting will host an interactive seminar called “Raise Capital On Your Own Terms: Fund Your Business Without Selling Your Soul,” at The Boardroom, located on the second floor of the Contemporary Arts Center, 900 Camp St., from 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Kassan is a business attorney, a certified transformational coach, social entrepreneur and finance innovator. Her formula for mission-aligned capital raising has helped diverse entrepreneurs throughout the country raise millions of dollars on their own terms.

She said most entrepreneurs have no idea how to raise investment capital in a way that fits their unique business model, goals and values. Unfortunately, their lawyers and accountants can often add to the confusion and prescribe a one-size-fits-all approach, she said. Kassan’s talk will remove the mystery from the capital-raising process and shows you how to create a customized capital raising plan—including finding the right investors, determining what kind of investment to offer and understanding how to comply with state and federal securities law. The hyped-up Silicon Valley-style of raising capital is not the only option. There are numerous ways to tap into the vast amount of capital held by everyday people, she said.
