NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau (NOCVB) is hosting a Job Fest on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the New Orleans Tremé Center, 900 N. Villere St., from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The event will feature new job openings from dozens of the industry’s top employers in the hospitality and tourism industry, organizers said.
These events are designed to connect job seekers with various employers, facilitate professional networking and aid in the hiring process. Interested attendees are encouraged to bring an updated resume, though it is not required. The event is open to anyone looking for a part-time or full-time job.
The NOCVB has hosted seven Job Fests in 2017, and is dedicated to connecting job seekers to not only jobs, but meaningful careers in the hospitality industry, reps said.
LouisianaHospitalityJobs.com, a local website which facilitates matching job seekers to employers via a robust online platform, is a sponsor of the upcoming Job Fest.
A sample list of participating employers for this month’s Job Fest include:
• Dickie Brennan & Company

• Hotel Monteleone

Organizers said employment in the hospitality and tourism industry can provide growth and opportunity to move up in a company, as well as employee benefits. Attending a hospitality and tourism Job Fest is the first step toward building a meaningful and long-lasting career within the industry, they said. Tourism is a $7 billion industry in New Orleans, the largest industry in the city, supporting more than 89,000 jobs in New Orleans. Careers range from food and beverage service, housekeeping, sales, guest relations, finance, administration and more.
