• New Orleans Architecture Foundation presents a lecture on the Restoration of Brennan's Restaurant – featuring Architect John Williams
Wednesday, March 9, 2016
Latrobe's on Royal Street
403 Royal St.
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, March 9, at Latrobe's on Royal Street, hear Architect John Williams discuss the historic restoration of the famed Brennan's Restaurant.
Brennan's, the reborn restaurant in New Orleans' historic French Quarter, delivers a design with a powerful sense of place. With a loving embrace of the landmark's original 1795 architecture, every setting within the sprawling establishment honors a distinctive element of the city's traditions, history, and cultural influence with dramatic elegance, whimsy, and color: each room is as memorable as the cuisine, which now similarly applies a fresh sensibility to the beloved Crèole fare that Brennan's has offered since 1946.
Brennan's seats 328 guests [inside] in its approximately 16K square feet. The renovation had a budget of over $11M with design overseen by Richard Keith Langham, and architecture done by John Williams Architects.
This event is $5 for AIA Members and $10 for Non-Members.
This is a CEU accredited event and all AIA Members must sign in and provide their AIA Numbers to receive 1 HSW credit for attending.
