BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Free flu shots are available to residents who have not received the vaccine.
Due to widespread flu activity remaining throughout the state, WBRZ-TV reports the Louisiana Department of Health will continue to offer flu vaccines at no cost at Parish Health Units across the state while supplies last.
State officials say there have been 13 flu-related deaths in the 2017-2018 flu season. All were elderly.
