THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls State University and Chevron celebrated the grand opening of the Bayou Region Incubator at The Vault this week. Located at 203 West Second Street in downtown Thibodaux, the facility will provide training, services, mentorship, networking and other support to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
The 10,000-square-foot facility features collaborative workspaces, meeting rooms, private offices and a multifunctional conference room, as well as access to 3-D printers for product feasibility testing, VR office suite programming for early innovation, and business printing.
Nicholls State University received a $3.5 million community development block grant to establish the incubator along with $50,000 from Chevron to develop the space and the Student Entrepreneur and Innovation Center, which provides co-working space for entrepreneurs.
