BATON ROUGE (AP) — A Seattle technology company that tests software is opening operations in Baton Rouge, a move that state officials say will create 34 jobs.
Gov. Bobby Jindal made the announcement Tuesday about qalytics LLC. The company says it will open up offices in the Louisiana Technology Park in Baton Rouge. At its Baton Rouge location, the company says it will specialize in quality assurance and publishing services for the digital media industry. The company says it will be hiring soon.
Jindal highlighted qalytics' move as evidence of the state's "strong business climate for tech investment."
Jeremy Hymel, a member of the company's management team, says digital interactive media tax credits and a pool of talent in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas helped convince the company about coming to Louisiana.
