The event will include live music by Tereasa B. & N’ Style; an open bar; New Orleans cuisine and a silent auction featuring gift certificates to some of the finest restaurants, hotels and businesses in the area, as well as special items including Lia Sophia jewelry and a painting by local artist Spencer Schulz.
“There’s No Place Like Home” will fund NOWS' mission to help homeless women and their children to transition from homelessness and poverty to one of stability and self-sufficiency.
NOWS was founded after Hurricane Katrina, and has served more than 750 women and their dependent children, with more than 80 percent transitioning into independent living. A large majority (75%) of the children at the shelter are under the age of nine.
General admission tickets are $50 ($35 for young professionals) and $250 for VIP sponsors (includes the patron party).
