NEW ORLEANS – A local startup focused on providing customized virtual reality events has rebranded as Maverick VR as it continues its nationwide expansion. Originally started as VR Arcade NOLA the company changed its name to Maverick VR to reflect its nationwide scope.
“When we started here in New Orleans, we were focused on understanding and fine tuning the amazing immersive VR experiences that high-end VR equipment can provide for local events," said co-founder Devin Regan. "As we’ve grown, we have refined our ability to customize those VR experiences for our clients and we’ve seen demand from cities across the country for our services. We are proud to keep our headquarters in New Orleans while now being able to offer VR activations for conferences and private events throughout the United States.”
Maverick VR has provided customized virtual reality experiences for several high-profile local events, including Audubon Aquarium’s annual Scales and Ales fundraiser as well as the recent Sugar Bowl at the Superdome. Their 2018 schedule includes conventions and special events in cities across the continental U.S.
“With events already booked this quarter in New York City, Las Vegas, and Minneapolis as part of Super Bowl LII, we know that there is a demand nationwide for our VR services” said Regan. “It’s always a thrill to treat people to their first taste of truly immersive Virtual Reality, and we look forward to working with event planners around the country to customize Virtual Reality activations for their clients and to wow their guests with unforgettable branded experiences.”
