NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans Steamboat Company and the Steamboat NATCHEZ announced the internal promotion of two current staff members for outstanding performance in the company and the hospitality industry.
Aggie Canales, who came to the company from the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association and Hotard Coaches, has been promoted to Senior Sales Manager for New Orleans Steamboat Company and the Steamboat NATCHEZ. Canales also serves in that capacity for Visit New Orleans, the destination management company.
“We are excited to promote Aggie who will deliver expert service to all of our clients and provide an exceptional leadership example for the internal sales staff” says Director of Sales, Deidra Edwards.
Melissa Eilers has a variety of sales expertise with the company, from group sales to wedding coordinator, has been promoted to Social Market Sales Manager. “Her ability to discern the special needs of our diverse customer base makes her an ideal leader in this market” Adrienne Thomas, Director of Marketing, said.
New Orleans Steamboat Company and the Steamboat NATCHEZ also announced that Brook Ruxton has joined the Tour & Travel Sales Department.
Ruxton has a diverse background in the local tourism market. His keen interest in group business, which thrives aboard the Steamboat NATCHEZ, is an asset that the company is eager to add, reps said. “As Group Sales Manager, he has an attention to client service that is unsurpassed,” Director of Sales, Deidra Edwards, said.
