NEW ORLEANS – Today, Friday, July 7, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will join city and state officials and community stakeholders to unveil “Climate Action for a Resilient New Orleans,” a strategic roadmap for the City of New Orleans to combat climate change.
The 10:00 a.m. event will be held at the newly completed Sewerage and Water Board Downtown Administration Building Green Roof Project at 625 St. Joseph St.
At the launch, the Mayor will sign an Executive Order to adopt the Climate Action Strategy as guiding policy, and commit to the principles and goals of the Paris Agreement, city reps said.
Scheduled to attend the event are Deputy Mayor Jeff Hebert, Sewerage & Water Board Executive Director Cedric Grant, elected officials and community stakeholders.
