New Orleans’ QCS Logistics Appears On Inc. 5000 List For 4th Time

NEW ORLEANS — QCS Logistics announced it has been honored as among the top 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the country by Inc. magazine. The list is the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy – America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs.

This is the fourth-consecutive year that QCS has made the Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The New Orleans-based courier and logistics company ranked No. 4,963 on the 2015 list with three-year sales growth of 41 percent.

The 2016 Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $200 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 640,000 jobs over the past three years, or about 8% of all jobs created in the entire economy during that period. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000.

“We are extremely proud of this achievement,” QCS President & CEO Ronald V. Burns, Sr., said. “Our associates do a phenomenal job day in and day out servicing our clients and ensuring that their delivery needs are met on time with the highest degree of customer service. We are honored to be recognized by Inc. among the nation’s most innovative, dynamic, and successful companies.”

With more than 30 years of experience in the transportation services industry, QCS has completed over seven million deliveries and is one of the leading courier services in the Gulf South region, QCS reps said. With expertise in on-demand and scheduled delivery services, cold chain delivery, medical courier delivery, freight distribution and custom logistics services, QCS is the first choice for premier healthcare, pharmaceutical, auto, critical parts, financial and retail customers throughout Southeast Louisiana, QCS reps said. The firm specializes in servicing Greater New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, St. Tammany and Jefferson parishes; including service to the surrounding states in the Southeast region.

The 2016 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com and with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc. (available on newsstands now) is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a mind-boggling three-year growth of 433%. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found here.

"The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.”

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring all the companies on the list will be held from October 18 through 20, in San Antonio, TX. Speakers include some of the greatest entrepreneurs of this and past generations, such as best-selling author and strategist Tony Robbins, SoulCycle co-founders Elizabeth Cutler and Julie Rice, Cornerstone OnDemand founder, president and CEO Adam Miller, Marvell Technology Group director and co-founder Weili Dai, and New Belgium Brewing co-founder and executive chair Kim Jordan.
