NEW ORLEANS – MakeGood, a New Orleans-based nonprofit, was featured on the Dec. 8 edition of “CBS Mornings.” Anchor David Begnaud traveled to New Orleans to document MakeGood creating a custom assistive device for a young child.
MakeGood is a two-year-old organization that applies its design and manufacturing expertise to assist the disabled community.
On the CBS show, the child and his family received custom-designed equipment, made in coordination with Tulane University students, that will help increase his mobility. MakeGood founder Noam Platt worked with the family and the clinical team at Children’s Hospital New Orleans on the project.
MakeGood said it has delivered more than 300 assistive devices, and trained hundreds of students through its design and educational programs.
