New Orleans Named a 2019 Most Excellent City Overall by TripAdvisor

NEW ORLEANS – Destination marketing organization New Orleans & Company announced that New Orleans has been named to TripAdvisor’s “Most Excellent City Overall” list. This designation is based on New Orleans having earned the highest percentage of TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence recipients. Certificates of Excellence are given to accommodations, restaurants and experiences that deliver great service and consistently achieve high traveler reviews on TripAdvisor. New Orleans is listed among international destinations such as Reykjavik, Iceland, Edinburgh, UK, and Marrakech, Morocco on the “Most Excellent City Overall” list.

Certificate of Excellence winners are selected through an algorithm that calculates a business’ time on the site as well as the quality, quantity and timeliness of user reviews. The percentage of businesses within a destination that receive a Certificate of Excellence are then used to determine the list of “Most Excellent” winners.
