City's ​300th anniversary expected to bring the crowds

NEW ORLEANS – Dreaming of New Orleans in 2018?

So are editors at major travel publications.

The city’s 300th anniversary celebration has prompted travel editors to recommend its readers to visit the Big Easy in 2018. New Orleans landed in fifth place among the top 18 places to visit in 2018 at Conde Nast Traveler.

New Orleans’ big anniversary was mentioned first by editors at Frommer’s Best Places to Go in 2018, along with a note about how the city hosts 160 festivals each year.

According to the Associated Press, luxury travel magazine Robb Report also listed New Orleans as a top destination in 2018.

The New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau and The New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation created a website specifically for visitors to New Orleans in 2018 for the anniversary year.
