NEW ORLEANS – On Sunday, July 24, 2016, the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC) partnered with Allstate Sugar Bowl, Chevron, R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and the Sun Belt Conference to host the annual free Cheer and Football Clinic for youth ages 5 to 14 at Joe W. Brown Memorial Park, 5601 Read Blvd.
The Cheer and Football Clinic featured football coaches from the Sun Belt Conference and former members of the Saints and Pelicans dance teams. Kids participating in the football clinic received instruction on football-related actives and drills, while cheer clinic participants learned routines for an end of the day performance.
