NEW ORLEANS – Jay Howard will be returning to the Verizon IndyCar Series this month to race in the Indy 500 as driver of the Schmidt Peterson Motorsports No 77 Honda.
Howard will be one of 33 drivers competing in the 101st running of the famous race on Sunday, May 28.
The British-born Howard spends time in New Orleans at NOLA Motorsports Park working with his Motorsports Driver Development program, where he oversees the competitive karting program helping to develop the next generation of professional racers.
Howard also owns a team in the F4 Championship, which is an entry level open wheel racing series. F4 hosted an official test at NOLA Motorsports Park Mardi Gras weekend.
NOLA Motorsports Park is a 750-acre special event and racing venue 20 minutes from the French Quarter. The park hosts a variety of automotive and non-automotive events throughout the year including corporate events, driving experiences and club races.
