HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS — Army Corps of Engineers and state and local officials to conduct exercises in preparation of hurricane season. Throughout the day, emergency teams will operate a number of the system's structures in response to prearranged tropical weather scenarios. Media can view exercises at the following locations and times: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at the 17th Street Interim Closure Structure, 1809 Orpheum Ave., Metairie and 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the London Avenue Interim Closure Structure, 6316 Pratt Dr., New Orleans.
