OIL AND GAS LEASES — U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell opens bids at an oil and gas lease sale offering 41.2 million acres for exploration and development in the Central Planning Area offshore Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Jewell also holds a news conference with Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Director Abigail Ross Hopper to discuss the event, 9:00 a.m. Location: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, St. Charles Club Room, 2nd floor, 1500 Sugarbowl Dr., New Orleans.
