Thursday, Jun. 22 – Tropical Storm Cindy projected to make landfall around the Texas/ Louisiana border before moving inland, with forecasts of maximum sustained winds of nearly 40 mph (plus higher gusts), around three to six inches of rain (with isolated maximums of 12 inches) – possibly causing 'life-threatening' flash flooding, a storm surge of up to three feet above ground level, and possibly tornadoes. Other states expected to be affected by the weather include Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee, with Tropical Storm Warning in effect for High Island, TX, to Morgan City, LA. Storm expected to weaken to tropical depression levels as it moves inland * Storm expected to move further northeast over the next two days, weakening even further as it goes.
