Day begins at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, where the core stage of the Space Launch System rocket and parts of the Orion spacecraft are being manufactured, 8:30 a.m., includes a Facebook Live event about Michoud, 12:30 p.m., and ends at a test firing of SLS' RS-25 engine at the Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, MS, 5:00 p.m. Speakers at Michoud in the morning include NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Director Todd May and Space Technology Mission Directorate Principal Technologist John Vickers, NASA Deputy Associate Administrator for Exploration Systems Development Bill Hill, Planetary Science Division Assistant Director for Science and Exploration Rick Davis, and Manager for Systems and Technology Demonstration Katie Boggs, and astronaut Rick Mastracchio.
