The morning begins with litter cleanups followed by leaders signing a pledge to 'Speak UP, Pick UP and Stand UP' for a litter-free Louisiana, 8:30 a.m.

Set in modern day, Tyler Perry narrates the event, with a cast including Trisha Yearwood as Mary, mother of Jesus; Jencarlos Canela as Jesus Christ; Seal as Pontius Pilate; Chris Daughtry as Judas; and Prince Royce as Peter, with other disciples played by Michael W. Smith, Shane Harper and Gabriel Conte. Yolanda Adams gives a special opening performance. The event features a procession of a thousand people carrying a 20-foot, illuminated cross from outside the Mercedes Benz Superdome to the live stage at Woldenberg Park on the banks of the Mississippi River, 8:00 p.m.
