New Orleans College Prep Launches 1st Stem Pre-K Program

NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans College Prep (NOCP) will offer its first STEM Pre-K program this school year with teachers trained by Dr. Calvin Mackie on different STEM topics. Training increases teacher’s knowledge of STEM topics and integrates STEM into Pre-K lesson plans.          “New Orleans College Prep emphasizes problem-solving, reading exploration and play skills in children’s academics,” said Amanda Aiken, Senior Director of Schools for New Orleans College Prep. “By giving our students STEM exposure at an early age, we are providing our students with more opportunities for academic success.”
