NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans College Prep (NOCP) will host its 10th Anniversary Gala on Thursday, April 20, at the Dryades Public Market, 1307 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
During the gala, three local community members, former U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, U.S. Attorney Kenneth Polite, and Bright Moments President and CEO Bill Rouselle, will be honored for their contributions and impact in education and the community.
The gala will also recognize and honor the hard work of the recipients over the past 10 years, as well as highlight the success of the New Orleans College Prep community.
“It is important for us as adults to be the biggest supporters for our scholars,” said Natalie Kaharick, CEO and COO, of New Orleans College Prep. “Making sure we help guide them as they grow into young adults and making sure they have the skills needed to be successful and conquer the world.”
NOCP operates a high school, two elementary schools and an early learning center: Walter L. Cohen College Prep, Lawrence D. Crocker College Prep, Sylvanie Williams College Prep, and Hoffman Early Learning Center. NOCP serves more than 1,300 students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade. NOCP's mission is to prepare students with academic and life skills for success in college, career and beyond.
To show support for NOCP students and families, community members are encouraged to become gala sponsors. Donations from sponsorships will benefit the scholars of NOCP.
General admission tickets for the Gala cost $75. NOCP parents, alums and educators can purchase tickets for $40.
Cocktail attire is required.
