New Orleans Career Center to Host Community Open House

NEW ORLEANS –  The New Orleans Career Center (NOCC) will host a community open house on Thursday, Nov. 8., from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This event will show people what NOCC can offer the students of Orleans Parish.

The announcement was made in a press release.

The New Orleans Career Center provides career and technical education training, credentialing, and support for successful high school transition and post-secondary placement. Their goal is to transform the lives of high school students in Orleans Parish via technical skills training, meaningful work-based learning, and the development of impactful relationships.

The community open house is an opportunity to see first hand how NOCC is providing equitable access to high quality, advanced career, and technical education directly to 124 high school juniors and seniors daily. Students are currently being trained in allied health as well as engineering and manufacturing.

During the event, NOCC faculty, students, and staff will offer tours the campus, which is located at 2539 Columbus Street, New Orleans, 70119.
