NEW ORLEANS – On Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC) President & CEO Mark Romig, New Orleans City Councilmember Nadine M. Ramsey, Historic Faubourg Treme Association (HFTA) Vice President Darryl Durham and renowned New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne will gather outside the historic St. Augustine Church, 1210 Governor Nicholls St., to unveil the official 2015 Treme Festival poster by Osborne, and offer a tour of the famous church.
Musician Shannon Powell will also be on hand to perform samples of the festival music.
HFTA will host the Annual Treme Festival on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, located at the intersection of Henriette Delille and Governor Nicholls Streets in Treme.
All funds raised from sponsors, food, beverage and poster sales will support much-needed repairs and improvements to St. Augustine Church.
The festival will feature food, crafts, and musical performances by John Boutte, Kermit Ruffins & the BBQ Swingers, James Andrews and the Crescent City Allstars, Shannon Powell, Leroy Jones Quintet, New Breed Brass Band, Lil Glen and Backatown and the Treme Brass Band.
