NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Architecture Foundation will present a lecture about historic tax incentive programs on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Center for Design, 1000 St. Charles Ave., from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
“Historic Tax Credits Case Study: Presenting Trapolin-Peer Architects,” will focus on lessons learned working with the Louisiana Division of Historic Preservation (DHP) and the Louisiana 25 percent Commercial Rehabilitation Tax Credit.
Local architects Peter Trapolin and Paula Peer will talk about their work with Historic Tax Credits on their project 800 Magazine St., home of Peche Restaurant and Octavia Art Gallery. They will also discuss the opportunities and challenges of preserving and advancing the architecture of New Orleans.
The New Orleans Architecture Foundation has facilitated several lectures on the various historic tax incentive programs. The next step is hearing case studies from architects, designers and homeowners who experience these programs first hand.
Attendees are encouraged to bring questions to ask during the open forum portion of the lecture.
AIA members will receive 1.5 HSW credits.
Entry costs $10.
