On the Horizon: This year will mark the 95th anniversary of Stone Pigman’s founding. Not many law firms can boast a track record like ours, so I’m looking forward to a well-earned year of celebrating!
Hidden Gem: Café Minh is hidden in plain sight on Canal Street.
Best Part of the Job: I love the intellectual challenge of my legal practice, but I really love that it allows me to work with and get to know many amazing and inspiring people.
Advice: Know your purpose in life and try to achieve it. I like a quote from Viktor Frankl that says, ‘Success, like happiness, is the unexpected side effect of one’s personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself.’
Did you know? Whittaker concentrates his practice on real estate development and financing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and business law. With more than 35 years of experience, he has counseled companies with operations across the world, including international restaurant chains and global commodity trading companies. Locally, he has worked on many public-private partnerships, including the conversion of the former World Trade Center building into the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences, and the redevelopment of the historic Saenger Theatre and Harrah’s New Orleans Casino.
