NEW ORLEANS MUSIC MONTH, SPECIAL PARTNERSHIPS
NOLA MusiCon is excited to be a part of the newly minted New Orleans Music Month, spearheaded by NOLA MusiCon Platinum Partner New Orleans & Company. Throughout the month of October the city will play host to not only NOLA MusiCon, but numerous festivals, live performances, and other special events celebrating the sounds and spirit of New Orleans. One of the primary goals of NOLA MusiCon is to help build a stronger music business presence in the birthplace of American music, and there are no better partners in realizing that goal than New Orleans & Company, Greater New Orleans, Inc and Louisiana Entertainment. Media partners include Fusicology, The Bloom Effect, Tunetrax, and FestForums, whose vast networks have served the music community for many years. NOLA MusiCon is also honored to be working with Son of a Saint as our official Community Partner, driving donations to this worthy cause, and offering unique programming opportunities for Son of a Saint mentees and the teams working with them.
HISTORY AND EVOLUTION
NOLA MusiCon is the next logical step in the evolution of NOLA MusicTech, which began as a part of a larger group of events which includes SF MusicTech Summit, Maui MusicTech Conference, Future of Money & Technology Summit and SF MusicTech POP UP @ Mondo.NYC. Due to COVID19 restrictions the inaugural NOLA MusicTech Conference scheduled for April 29, 2020 quickly pivoted from an in-person event to a vibrant virtual stage. Two years later, NOLA MusicTech hosted its first in-person gathering, bringing together visionaries in the evolving music/business/technology ecosystem, along with the best and brightest entrepreneurs, investors, musicians, journalists, developers, service providers, and organizations who work with them at the convergence of culture and commerce. Riding on that momentum, NOLA MusicTech has now expanded to encompass every aspect of building a music/music business career, and has rebranded as NOLA MusiCon to reflect that expansion of ideas.
