New N.O. Job Recruitment Portal Aims for Diversity

Logo Design Diversityemployed 02 ResizedNEW ORLEANS – Krista Pouncy-Dyson, creator of the new job recruitment portal, wants to connect candidates from diverse backgrounds with employers and professional development opportunities.

“There are viable opportunities here in New Orleans, but often minorities are not exposed to these openings,” said Pouncy-Dyson. “Recruiters have limited options to advertise directly to diverse audiences. We want to positively impact this shortfall with our newly developed platform.”

Pouncy-Dyson said companies gain a competitive edge by “hiring, embracing, supporting and empowering” diverse employees. To that end, she created an easy-to-use portal that provides an array of marketing options to put job postings in front of prospective candidates. The site also features “job wrapping,” which allows postings to go live in real-time as they are inputted to the employer’s career website.

“By ingraining diversity and inclusion into the core of corporate policy, opportunities for limitless collaboration, creation and innovation are born, which can spark change, increase profits and determine holistic success,” said Pouncy-Dyson. “We are excited to feature 65,000 positions … from across the country on the site.”

Dyson is a graduate of Xavier University, the Goldman Sachs 10k Small Business Program and NOLABA’s Ascend 2020 Executive Education Program facilitated by Tulane University. She has crafted digital marketing campaigns for clients across many different industries for over 20 years. Dyson owns Performance First Digital, a woman-owned New Orleans based strategic media buying and consulting agency providing digital and traditional marketing strategy and placement services.

The portal currently has 14,000 resumes from Louisiana job seekers and over 400 active jobs listed in the New Orleans metro area across many different industries.
