NEW ORLEANS – The Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) now offers nursing mothers private facilities.
Airport reps said they identified rooms post-security on each concourse that were remodeled to fit the needs of traveling nursing mothers. Each room is clearly marked “Mother’s Room” and includes comfortable seating, an end table, a changing table and appropriately placed electrical outlets, they said.
On Concourse B, the Mother’s Room can be found at Gate B8. On Concourse C, the Mother’s Room is located in the Gate C5 seating area. On Concourse D, the Mother’s Room is positioned between Gates D3 and D5.
Overhead signs were also installed to aid in finding their locations.
These rooms are now open and available for nursing mothers to utilize when traveling to and from MSY.
