New Law Firm, Riess LeMieux, Brings 50 Years of Experience to Construction Law, Complex Commercial Litigation

NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans’ newest law firm, Riess LeMieux, aims to meet the legal needs of top businesses and professionals across the state in a unique way. Officially launched on Monday, Feb. 26, the new firm is under the leadership of Michael R.C. Riess and Christopher LeMieux who have a combined 50 years of legal experience.

While Riess LeMieux will serve clients in dozens of practice areas, their specialties include the complex litigation of construction, commercial and business advising, bankruptcy litigation, commercial transactions, maritime advice and class action and multi-district litigation.

“We have identified a gap here in Louisiana,” says firm partner Michael R. C. Riess. “Most law firms in our state focus on a few very specific practices areas, or are so large that they can’t provide the individual attention their clients need. We plan to provide a broad range of services without sacrificing quality—and most of all, we want our clients to see us as long-term partners.”

Along with specializing in a number of practice areas, Riess LeMieux has brought together a group of deeply experienced attorneys who have worked for decades on a broad spectrum of cases within their respective fields.

“We’re really proud of the team we’ve put together,” added partner Christopher LeMieux. “We truly believe that offering legal services from experienced professionals across a number of practice areas will ensure we’re able to serve all of our clients’ interests, and build more successful relationships founded on trust and personalized attention.”

Riess Lemieux is also proud to announce that Thomas P. Henican, Michael D. Lane, and Jonathan S. Forester have been named partners with the firm. Marguerite, K. Kingsmill, founding partner of Kingsmill Riess, LLC, shall continue to provide her vast experience and legal acumen working in a position of Of Counsel with Riess LeMieux.
