NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Financing has been completed for the construction of a new health care facility in New Orleans.
Hope Enterprise Corporation and Hope Credit Union, in a news release Tuesday, said the new 64,000-square-foot facility will enable CrescentCare to expand access to primary care services.
Construction will begin later this summer. The project, made possible with loan financing of $10 million, will create or preserve more than 450 part- and full-time jobs.
CrescentCare CEO Noel Twilbeck says the facility will triple their capacity to serve. CrescentCare has long been a primary source of care for those in the LGBTQ community as well as people living with HIV and AIDS.
HOPE CEO Bill Bynum says the project advances HOPE's commitment to strengthening communities in economically distressed parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
