'NCIS: New Orleans' Sponsors French Quarter Graffiti Cleanup

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The French Quarter Business Association says a TV crime show filmed largely in New Orleans is donating supplies for a graffiti cleanup in the French Quarter.

Executive Director Brittany Mulla McGovern says in a news release that representatives from the CBS show "NCIS: New Orleans " will attend the cleanup Oct. 8.

She says the show's sponsorship is paying for gloves, rags, scrapers, scouring pads, a cleaning solution that's approved by the Vieux Carre Commission, and for about 100 T-shirts to be given to participants.

The cleanup starts at 9 a.m. in the courtyard of the police department's 8th District station, and ends with a lunch donated by a restaurant on Bourbon Street.
