NEW ORLEANS – A storied New Orleans tradition returns tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 29, as Rob Kerkovich, Vanessa Ferlito and Joseph Zolfo from "NCIS: New Orleans" officially celebrate the launch of the holiday season by flipping the switch for the Waldorf Wonderland at The Roosevelt, 130 Roosevelt Way.
The official lighting ceremony takes place at 5:15 p.m., transforming the Roosevelt’s beloved block-long lobby into a canopy of white birch branches, thousands of twinkling lights and the sounds of the holidays. The lobby also will be lined with Christmas trees decorated with bows and ornaments, poinsettias and other holiday-themed displays. The lobby will stay a wonderland through New Year’s Day, so families can revel all season long at this festive, one-of-a-kind celebration.
Just off the lobby in Teddy’s Café, those in the holiday spirit can marvel at Head Pastry Chef Deborah Heyd’s annual larger-than-life gingerbread display, which will be revealed during the lighting.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature entertainment and refreshments.
