N.O. Saints, Second Harvest Partner Again For 50/50 Raffle At Saturday’s Home Game

NEW ORLEANS – The Superdome hosts its first Saints game this Saturday, Aug. 26, and Second Harvest Food Bank volunteers are gearing up to sell tickets for the New Orleans Saints’ 50/50 Raffle. The raffle will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome at all home games this season.

“Second Harvest Food Bank is happy to collaborate with the New Orleans Saints by organizing volunteers to sell raffle tickets through the conclusion of the third quarter of each home game,” said Natalie Jayroe, president and CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank. “We are honored to be part of this effort where every ticket sold will benefit Second Harvest and other local charities. We are grateful for the support of Mr. and Mrs. Benson and the entire Saints organization.”

Last year’s inaugural 50/50 Raffle was a huge success with total sales of $539,155, reps said. Half that amount was awarded to lucky game winners, and the other half ($269,577) was distributed among participating charities including Second Harvest.

A portion of the Aug. 26 game’s Raffle proceeds will benefit the New Orleans Recreational Development (NORD) Foundation, that raises money to support NORDC’s mission “to advance the physical, mental, and social well-being of New Orleanians by providing safe and welcoming environments for recreational, athletic, and cultural experiences.”
