JACKSON, MS (AP) — Former New Orleans mayor Marc H. Morial is the featured speaker for the Jackson State University's winter commencement.
Morial will speak at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center on the JSU campus in Jackson.
Morial is the current president of the National Urban League. He served as mayor of New Orleans from 1994 to 2002.

With more than 25 years of public service, Morial has a background as an entrepreneur, lawyer, professor and former legislator.
He has been president of the National Urban League since 2003.
