BATON ROUGE (AP) — More under-utilized state vehicles are going on the auction block this weekend.
The Louisiana Property Assistance Agency will sell 83 state vehicles Saturday as the state looks for ways to generate money amid continued budget problems.
Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration says the sale of 214 used state vehicles last month generated $751,700 for the state.
The Advocate reports that this time, two- and four-door passenger vehicles, small trucks and vans, as well as heavy trucks will be up for sale. Examples include a 2007 Dodge Ram, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2004 Ford Explorer.
The vehicles range from 1991 to 2010 models.
