Moore Named SVP Of Operations At East Jefferson General Hospital

METAIRIE, LA – East Jefferson General Hospital announced that Macon Moore has joined the organization as senior vice president of operations.

         “Macon has a proven track record of success in our industry,” said EJGH president and CEO Gerald Parton. “He is an experienced and well-respected member of the region’s healthcare community and we welcome him to East Jefferson.”

         With nearly 25 years of healthcare business experience, Moore most recently served as vice president of Network Development at People’s Health Network. While at People’s Health, Moore identified and facilitated new business opportunities and directed the implementation of new products and services. He also aided in identifying and securing strategic partnerships that supported and expanded the brand’s services.

         Prior to his time at People’s Health, Moore worked as chief operating officer at Tenet Memorial Medical Center in New Orleans and Tenet Meadowcrest. He also worked at NorthShore Regional Medical Center in Slidell.

         Actively involved in the New Orleans community, Moore was profiled by New Orleans CityBusiness as one of the top business leaders under age 40 and received the Mayor’s Award of Recognition for this work with local and minority businesses.

         Moore is active with New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Chairman’s Council. He also served two terms as President of Young Audiences of Louisiana.

         Moore is a graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute, is a past member of the Development Board of Our Lady of Holy Cross College and serves as a governing board member for Young Audiences Louisiana.

         After receiving his bachelor’s degree in business administration, Moore earned his master’s in health administration from the Medical College of Virginia.

         East Jefferson General Hospital opened in 1971 as a 250-bed facility with almost 250 physicians serving the newly burgeoning suburbs of Jefferson Parish. Today, EJGH stands as a state-of-the-art healthcare system providing inpatient and outpatient care, and a wide array of specialty and preventative services, reps said.
