Molly Kimball Named President-Elect For AHA New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – Molly Kimball has been named President-Elect of the American Heart Association’s New Orleans Board of Directors for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

         Kimball is a registered dietitian at Ochsner Health System and founder of Ochsner’s Eat Fit NOLA, as well as nutrition columnist for NOLA.com| The Times-Picayune, and nutrition expert for WGNO| ABC26 news.

         In addition to her regional work with the American Heart Association, Kimball is an active local volunteer in the New Orleans area and serves as a member of the Circle of Red. Just recently, Kimball’s guidance and leadership were imperative in the process to secure procurement guidelines within New Orleans City Hall.

         During the upcoming year, Kimball’s leadership will help the organization impact heart disease and stroke, the No. 1 and No. 5 leading killers, respectively, of American men and women.

         The board will help the association achieve its 2020 impact goal to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent.
