NEW ORLEANS – On Saturday, Dec. 10, guests of the third annual Champagne Stroll can enjoy the twinkling lights of Miracle on Fulton Street, live music and 16 varieties of champagne and sparkling wine tastings while raising funds for Second Harvest Food Bank.
“We are excited to host the third annual Miracle on Fulton Street Champagne Stroll benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank,” Dan Real, Caesars Entertainment regional president-south and Harrah’s New Orleans general manager, said. “Fulton Street, especially during the holidays, is a great place to spend your evening with family and friends. Our pedestrian friendly corridor has convenient parking, restaurants, cocktail lounges and a bowling alley all located just steps from one another.”
The Champagne Stroll begins at 6:00 p.m. with live music by James Andrews and continues until 8:00 p.m. This year, Champagne Stroll attendees can experience an interactive art installation on Fulton Street as part of the Arts Council of New Orleans LUNA Fête celebration. The interactive Billie sphere will be on display on Fulton Street Wednesday, Dec. 7, through Saturday, Dec. 10. Through the light of a smartphone, flashlight or any other light emitting device, the audience can create dynamic shapes and illuminated personal portraits on the Billie sphere surface.
Second Harvest President and CEO Natalie Jayroe said the donations made possible by events like the Champagne Stroll are vital to their mission. “We’re so honored for the year-round support of Harrah’s, but it is especially vital during this time of year,” Jayroe said. “We want to make sure every family has a seat at the holiday table, and our deepest thanks go out to Harrah’s, their staff and guests.”
“We look forward to this event every year,” Ray Sutherlin, marketing consultant for the Apres Lounge, said. “It’s a wonderful time of year to celebrate and partnering with Second Harvest this year simply makes the event that much better.”
Sponsors of the Champagne Stroll include Republic National Distributing Co., Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, Harrah’s New Orleans, Après Lounge and Fulton Alley.
Tickets are sold out but guests are still encouraged to come and enjoy the music and the spirit of the Champagne Stroll. Champagne, cocktails and food are available throughout the evening from the variety of bars and restaurants on Fulton Street.
