Miracle League Northshore To Break Ground On Baseball Complex For Special Needs Youth

COVINGTON, LA – Miracle League Northshore, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing recreational sports leagues to children with special needs throughout the Northshore community, is breaking ground on The Miracle League Northshore Baseball Complex on Wednesday, March 15, at Coquille Parks and Recreation, 13505 Highway 1085, in Covington, at 11:00 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

Since 2014, organizers have been working to plan and fund this unique Miracle League Northshore field. The $750,000 price tag will go a long way in allowing children of all abilities the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of playing baseball, just like their peers, Miracle League Northshore reps said. This event marks a huge milestone for the entire Northshore community, they said, as it is the only facility of its kind in the area to serve these children and their families.
