NEW ORLEANS – Earlier this year, the Spears Group and Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.) announced their partnership in presenting the fifth annual Millennial Awards alongside the inaugural Emerge Summit, an annual emerging leadership conference taking place Thursday, July 13 – Saturday, July 15.
The #MillennialsMeet happy hour and weekend launch event will take place tonight from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Ace Hotel, 600 Carondelet St. Conference sponsors, speakers and attendees, as well as Millennial Award finalists and attendees, are encouraged to attend.
The Emerge Summit will take place Friday, July 14, at the Ace Hotel and will feature an impressive line-up of speakers from across the U.S. including Michael Hecht, president and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc.; Zachary Engel, chef de cuisine at Shaya; Kirk Coco, CEO of Nola Brewing Company; Kevin Lin, chief operating officer of Twitch; Desiree Ontiveros, founder of Badass Balloon Co.; Crystal McDonald, founder and CEO of Acrew; and Amanda Shaw, nationally-acclaimed musician and actor.
WDSU News Anchor Charles Divins will serve as the Master of Ceremonies and Kelly Williams Brown, author of "Adulting: How to Become a Grown-Up in 468 Easy(ish) Steps," will serve as the keynote speaker.
The summit will provide hundreds of up-and-coming young professionals with a series of educational platforms that drive personal and career development as well as an incredible opportunity to network with peers. Speakers will touch on a variety of topics including "Leadership and Influence," "So, You Want to Be Your Own Boss?," "Straight Outta College!," "Managing Up!," "Been There, Done That – What's Next?" and "A Millennial World."
Tickets will be $30 each for the Emerge Summit and Millennial Awards or $50 when purchased together. The #MillennialsMeet happy hour will be free with any ticket purchase.
