NEW ORLEANS – The Greater Mid-City Business Association (GMCBA) will host a Katrina 10 celebration on Thursday, August 27, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., celebrating the rebuilding of Mid-City post-Katrina.
The event will take place at The Cannery, 3803 Toulouse St..
The GMCBA will be honoring:
• The Krewe of Endymion
• Mandina’s Restaurant
• Finn McCool’s Irish Pub
• Angelo Brocato’s
• The Pel Hughes Companies
• Jesuit High School
• Mark’s Mid-City Service Station
• Venezia’s Restaurant
• Mid-City Lanes Rock n Bowl
• Katie’s Restaurant
• NOPD 1st District and NOFD 5th District
The GMCBA say each of these honorees represent the uniqueness of the New Orleans neighborhood businesses and will be honored for their resiliency, dedication and belief in Mid-City and the City of New Orleans. The GMCBA say these honorees were determined to return to their businesses despite very challenging times, and their never-say-die spirit deserves to be celebrated.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., each honoree will be presented with a commemorative certificate in honor of their perseverance during a short program starting at 6:00 p.m. followed by a celebration at 6:45 p.m. with live music and dancing by Imaginary Frenz.
Tickets cost $20 and include hors d'oeuvres and complimentary parking.
