COVINGTON, La. – On Oct. 19, Metairie Bank hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a new branch location at 70496 Highway 21 in Covington. The bank’s second full-service location on the Northshore is expected to open in the third quarter of 2024. It will be the bank’s ninth branch in the New Orleans market.
Metairie Bank CEO John LeBlanc, President Mike Gennaro and Northshore Market President Paul Myers led the Covington branch groundbreaking ceremony, which was also attended by St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper, St. Tammany Parish Councilman Marty Dean and Dan Voelkel with Voelkel McWilliams Construction.
“For more than 75 years, Metairie Bank has provided an unmatched level of personal service in a community bank atmosphere.” LeBlanc said. “We continue to grow because we share the dreams of the people we serve.”
“This year, the readers of Gambit voted us ‘Best Local Bank,’” said Gennaro. “We will continue to build strong relationships with our neighbors in St. Tammany, a parish so many of our team members call home.”
“Our success on this side of the lake has allowed us to continue to press forward with our expansion strategy,” said Myers. “In August of 2024, we look forward to welcoming new and existing customers to Metairie Bank.”
Metairie Bank was founded in 1947.
