President & CEO Ron E. Samford, Jr. noted that “this is a very experienced and prestigious leadership team that could rival that of any bank branch in the Greater New Orleans area. We expect them to continue the Metairie Bank tradition of providing exceptional ‘Personal Service’ to the residents, businesses and non-profits in the area, some of whom are already customers. We particularly look forward to expanding our relationships with East Jefferson General Hospital, just down the street, and its many constituencies in the surrounding neighborhoods.”

Metairie Bank, founded in 1947, has assets of $370 million and is the oldest and largest bank headquartered in Jefferson Parish. It now has eight branches, including seven locations on the East Bank in Jefferson Parish and one location in Mandeville on the Northshore, plus a full-service remote ATM in Covington. Subject to regulatory approval, the Bank expects to open another new branch on the Northshore in Covington later this summer, bringing the total locations to nine.
