NEW ORLEANS – Impact 100, a women’s giving circle hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, is open for membership. Now in its fifth year, Impact 100 has granted more than $600,000 to nonprofits addressing the community’s greatest challenges. “Impact 100 is comprised of women committed to making a difference in our community,” said Greater New Orleans Foundation president and CEO Andy Kopplin. “By pooling resources, members are making transformative grants to nonprofit organizations addressing our community’s greatest challenges.”
“It’s the power of collaborative giving,” said Andrea Huseman, advisory council chair of 2017 Impact 100. “We’re a caring group of women committed to making an impact, together.”
Impact 100 members commit $1,100 per year for the purpose of making one $100,000 grant to a local nonprofit. Winners in the past have included the Youth Empowerment Project, the New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter, Communities in School and the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights.
