NEW ORLEANS– On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Engagement will host the sixth annual Neighborhood Summit. The event will bring neighborhood leaders and city agencies together to share information, develop new skills, and strengthen relationships. Held at the University Medical Center, 2000 Canal St., the Neighborhood Summit will focus on key topics that make New Orleans resilient and outline how we can better prepare for the future.
The theme of this year’s summit is Celebrating 300 Years of Resilient Neighborhoods: Laying a Strong Foundation for the Future. Residents will discuss key topics that make New Orleans resilient and outline how we can better prepare for the future, city reps said. Additionally, residents will participate in neighborhood building workshops, panel discussions and engage one-on-one with non-profit leaders, city and community representatives.
