Mayor Landrieu, U.S. House Dem. Leader Pelosi To Tour Health Center, Hold Roundtable Discussion On The Affordable Care Act

NEW ORLEANS – City reps said following the seventh anniversary of the Affordable Care Act that has provided health coverage to more 20 million Americans, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will host U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi on Saturday, April 1, in New Orleans. 

         The two will be joined by local health care providers and New Orleans residents who have benefited from the Affordable Care Act for a roundtable discussion focusing on efforts to protect the health care of the American people. 

         After the hour long discussion, Mayor Landrieu and Leader Pelosi will tour a health center, Daughters of Charity, 3201 S. Carrollton Ave., and hold a press conference.

         The tour begins at 11:00 a.m. and the press conference will start at approximately 11:15 a.m. 

         Michael Griffin, CEO, Daughters of Charity, and Daughters of Charity healthcare providers and patients are scheduled to be in attendance.
